I'd like to share about how I fell in love with the drums. If you read 'Me' on this blog page you'll know that it all started at a youth camp. I picked up the drum sticks while someone was playing the guitar on stage. We jammed that afternoon. We had so much fun. That's when I fell in love with drums.

I got busy with university and didn't play drums for a number of years.

When I moved to a suburban neighbourhood, I attended a local Pentecostal Church. Soon, I started playing drums and became part of the music team. After about a year or so playing drums for the Church, I met a bunch of guys looking for a drummer for their recently formed band. They were booked for a gig and they needed urgently. I accepted their invitation and we started practising. At our first gig, we played really well together and the reaction we received from the audience was phenomenal. Not long after that gig, we were booked for a few more gigs for a couple of months.

The band name was called Radiate and was later changed to Radiate Youth Band.

Of all the instruments that I learned to play, drums are my favourite. I discovered drums at a youth camp while watching someone play the guitar. I picked up the drumsticks and started jamming with him. We had so much fun that afternoon. They literally had to stop us playing so we could go onto the next program. Fast forward, I taught myself to play drums and improved on my techniques . Playing the drums is so much fun than other instruments!
